The Quality Management Department is looking for an Infection Prevention Specialist to join our team. The department is made up of the Director, Infection Prevention Specialist, Risk Manager, Case Managers and an Administrative Associate. The team is a fantastic dynamic group who each have different duties but work collaboratively and have a great working relationship with providers and hospital departments.

The Infection Prevention Specialist is responsible for assisting the Quality & Risk Director in the planning, organizing and directing of performance improvement and quality initiatives throughout the hospital. This includes direct responsibility for quality/core measures program. The Infection Prevention Specialist holds the primary responsibility for the hospital wide infection prevention program.

Education:

Graduate of accredited RN program, or degree in advanced medical technology, microbiology or healthcare related science. CIC (Certification in Infection Prevention and Control) preferred, or to be obtained through APIC.

License: Current RN license or MLT/MLS License

Current BLS certification

Experience: Three (3) years inpatient hospital experience preferred
