Summary of Position:

Primary responsibility of patient care, assures safe, competent care for patients of Bonner General Immediate Care (BGIC). Function in a dependent role while providing nursing care at the delegation of the provider, while working within the CMA Scope of Practice as defined by the Board of Medicine, but not extending such duties beyond what the provider of BGIC has deemed permissible. Bears responsibility and accountability for all actions taken while carrying out nursing activities.

Responsibilities:

Registers patients accurately in the practice management system and provides medical office clerical support

Genuine focus on greeting our patients and making them feel welcome and assist with the coordination of care with clinical staff

Provides clinical care at the direction of a licensed physician

Provides clinical care at the direction of a licensed physician or Nurse Practitioner

Assists physicians in all phases of patient care, including surgical procedures

Provide patient education in office visits or via telephone, as ordered by physician

Organizes inventory and orders medical supplies, working closely with the Materials Department

Calls in prescriptions as ordered

Demonstrates understanding and utilization of Standard Precautions, asepsis and infection control procedures

Education: Graduate of accredited Certified Nursing Aid program

Minimum of one (1) years’ experience, Experience providing support in a clinical capacity as a CNA preferred

License: Current CNA License, Current BLS
