What is Bonton?
For the last 200 years, racial injustice and systemic oppression prevented opportunities in Bonton that were a given elsewhere. People here experienced higher rates of diabetes, stroke and cancer, and 48% of residents lived in poverty. Residents have been denied access to the seven human essentials that are necessary to survive and thrive - health & wellness, economic stability, safe and affordable housing, transportation, a sense of belonging, education and access to fair credit. Today, the community is transforming, and healing is coming from within.

Bonton Farms is on a mission is to transform lives by disrupting systems of inequity, laying a foundation where health, wholeness, and opportunity are the norm for all people. While many nonprofits work to solve one issue, Bonton Farms focuses on place-based interventions to build community capacity for long-term change. As the ecosystem of community resources improves, the neighbors in Bonton use these resources to build successful, self-sufficient lives, ultimately interrupting the impact of decades of disenfranchisement. Bonton Farms’ programs focus on the following seven human essentials: economic stability, health and wellness, transportation, education, access to fair credit and community belonging.

Overview of Role:
The Financial Resource Center Manager plays a vital role in supporting financial education efforts within our organization. They build strong relationships with financial institutions and serve as an expert on financial matters. By staying updated on changing legislation, they ensure compliance and guide individuals through financial regulations, empowering them to make informed decisions. The primary responsibility of the Manager is to develop and deliver tailored financial resource programs to individuals seeking assistance within the community, bridging the gap between the community and financial institutions. They leverage available tools, resources, and digital platforms to enhance financial education and accessibility. Through their work, the Manager fosters positive change, promoting economic stability, improved well-being, and legal compliance within the community. Their dedication is focused on serving, educating, and empowering individuals to achieve financial independence.

Leadership:
· Culitvate existing relationships with community banks
· Develop new relationshipswith community banks
· Create a mentor network with community members
· Represent the organization as a critical liaison between community lenders and financial education needs of participants
· Connect individuals to the organization’s resources
· Explore strategies to scale the model, such as collaborating with multiple community banks, fostering partnerships and utilizing technology
Program Development:
· Work with program staff and organization directors to identify, develop and administer financial education classes/curriculum for community members. Topics include but are not limited to personal finance management, budgeting, home ownership, business training, general lending practices, setting and achieving financial goals, etc. · Coordinate, schedule and develop marketing and enrollment processes
· Continually work to close gap between need for financial education and the execution of programs that directly support the need
· Work with the staff to develop objective performance measurements to ensure consisten, high-quality financial education program(s)
· Work with financial institutions to generate consolidated reports such as : total deposits at partner banks from community participants, total withdrawals, total savings, amount of credit extened, etc.
· Showcase impact through highlighting key metrics and trends over time
· Instill a sense of accountability among team members and partners
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
· 5 years of banking, mortgage or financial services experience.
· Experience in community outreach in financial services specifically.
· Experience with creating and/or executing on financial education programs.
· Must possess an understanding of government and non-profit community financial resources.
· Experience and an understanding of financial products and services, FDIC, Money Smart Program.
· Experience in operating and/or building data collection systems to track program performance.
· Ability to translate large amounts of data in valuable insights for the use of reporting.
· High level of confidentiality is needed for both retention of data and to build trust in the community.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
· Intermediate level technical skills, CRM knowledge and use.
· Dedicated to serving, educating and empowering individuals to become financially independent. · Proficient in using technology as a management reporting tool. · Strong project management skills managing complex, multifaceted projects resulting in measurable successes and program growth. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details. · Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for Bonton Farms mission. · Excellent problem-solving skills to analyze issues and create action plans. · The ability to adapt to changing work priorities and maintain flexibility. · Ability to manage a budget and work within the constraints of that budget. · Ability to identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions. · Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate programs. · Ability to direct and organize program activities . · Ability to establish goals and objectives.
