DIRECTOR - COMMUNITY HEALTH & WELLNESS
Overview of Role:
The Director of Community Health and Wellness is an experienced leader in community health and wellness that is concerned with the health of the community, and a deep passion for the mission of Bonton Farms. Reporting to the Chief Wellness Officer, this leader will responsible for design and implementation of healthcare services including wellness programming to improve overall health of the Bonton Community. The role requires a collaborative mindset as the transformation of the overall health of the community will require various partnerships from a variety of sectors. The Director will also have direct reports that will require In order for there to be a change in health and wellness outcomes, building relationships and trust within the community must be the priority in the role.

Position Summary: The Director of Community Health and Wellness is a leadership position that is a community builder with expertise in leadership, supervision, design, implementation, and collaboration. This includes an ability to also incorporate administrative tasks and an adherence to all federal, state and local regulatory laws regarding healthcare.

Essential Responsibilities:
Develop relationships with the Bonton community, Apprentices and staff to understand health care needs and the barriers to accessing health care, as well as educate and build trust for better health outcomes.
Design programs that provide the most optimal and innovative healthcare solutions including wellness programming to improve overall health of the Bonton Community as well as surrounding communities.
Create, maintain, and navigate strategic partnerships to deliver medical services and health & wellness programs and services to the community.
Facilitate and execute the delivery of healthcare and wellness programs as well as design necessary reporting metrics with partner entities to showcase the impact of the model to various investors in the mission.
Assist with design of the facility to create one that meets the needs of medical partners as well as patients.
Consistently seek community engagement in healthcare services and wellness programming, facilitating marketing of these efforts, as well as focus groups to ascertain community wants in the area of programming health and wellness activities.
Oversee and manage the budget for the Bonton Farms Health & Wellness Center and assist with fundraising efforts for the department.
Supervise the Manager of Community Health & Wellness Services and other duties as assigned.
Serve as the face and heart of wellness services for Bonton Farms, developing relationships with community members, other organizations to help people access care and services.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, with a preference in health-related field; post graduate degrees preferred with an emphasis in health.
At least 5 years minimum of experience in health-care related field.
At least 4 years in management.
Minimum of 2 years in community health related activities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with clinical staff and patients.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment when making decisions.
Strong leadership and management skills with an ability to delegate and supervise tasks as required
Problem solving skills when resolving administrative issues and conflicts
Detailed knowledge of policies and regulations in the clinical field.
Good understanding of budget and resource planning in addition to fundraising and grant writing.
Hands-on skills with hospital computer systems such as EMR
Experience tracking metrics for impact.
