Job Description
The best candidate will be someone who can be part of a team in a dynamic and changing environment. Projects include software solution development and support for mission critical agency functions in the federal healthcare space. The projects utilize rapid design and development techniques to respond to client demands for meeting the challenges of healthcare reform and open government directives.
This position requires 7 years of software development or automated testing experience and Health Care Industry or Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) experience, with the ability to:
- Obtain a Public Trust clearance and must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies
- Design, implement and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met
- Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and architectures for application products Write, implement, and report status for system test cases for testing
Mandatory Skills:
- Design and execute QA tests using scripts that automatically test functionality
- Strong programming skills in Java (Python may also be acceptable) along with experience with other software automation or performance testing tools
- Run tests for databases, systems, networks, applications, hardware and software
- Work with the Development team to capture and reuse automated Unit Test Cases, Test Stubs and Drivers, and other Development test objects
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience with SVN or similar version control environments (Mecurial, etc.), Maven, and Jenkins
- Strong communication skills and ability to mentor less technical staff in automating test cases with basic methods (screen record)
- Experience with Atlassian software development tools including Jira, Bitbucket/Git and Confluence
- Familiarity with both Linux and Windows build tools, including cmake, ant, gcc, and Visual Studio
- Experience working in a collaborative, cross functional team environment
- Experience facilitating meetings and peer reviews
- Agile experience
Preferred Skills:
- LoadRunner, JMeter, SOAPUI/ReadyAPI, and similar tools
- Understanding of DevOps principles and tools including code review, source code management, continuous integration, continuous testing, release automation, and “infrastructure as code”
- Experience working with Informatica or other ETL tools
- Experience with integrating test automation into a CI/CD pipeline using tools, including Jenkins
