    We are looking for a proactive, independent bookkeeper, project accountant and operations specialist with excellent proven record of working small and large corporations and strong accounting and organizational skills.

    Roles and Responsibilities This individual will be responsible for outlook and managing calendars for CEO and team members. Editing documents in adobe, converting documents into word and editing confidential documents. Updating, saving and organizing SharePoint Will need to have monday.com experience to update business opportunities, tracking licenses and adding contacts. Add projects, check time sheets for payroll, vacation and expense reports in clicktime

    Other accounting duties will be:

    Establishing different accounts

    Maintain financials books in order while able to categorize and understand loans payable, interest expenses, grants, contracts, account payable purchasing, etc.

    Maintaining records of financial transactions by posting and verifying

    Defining bookkeeping policies and procedures

    Developing systems to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts

    Maintaining subsidiary accounts by posting, verifying and allocating transactions

    Reconciling entries to balance subsidiary accounts

    Reconcile accounts payable and receivable

    Maintaining a balanced general ledger

    Preparing a trial balance for the accountants

    Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing accounting for information

    Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements

    Monitoring for variances from the projected budget

    Advising management on compliance needs

    Assisting in financial activities such as running payroll and generating invoices

    Manage all accounting transactions

    Prepare budget forecasts

    Publish financial statements in time

    Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings

    Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements

    Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity

    Qualifications/Experience

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline

    Bookkeeping experience required, accounting experience preferred

    Experienced in Construction, federal, government contracts (desired)

    Strong attention to detail, quality and good analytical skills
