    Position Overview
    The Accounting Assistant will support both the accounting and property management teams by handling multi-property accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, compliance tracking, and reporting. This is a detail-focused role that plays a critical part in keeping our operations running smoothly. If you excel at organization, have a strong grasp of accounting principles, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, we’d like to hear from you.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions across multiple properties

    • Assist in monthly bank and credit card reconciliations

    • Maintain and update tenant ledgers and owner records

    • Enter invoices, receipts, and journal entries into AppFolio

    • Generate reports for property managers and ownership groups as requested

    • Track and manage vendor W-9s, COIs, and compliance documentation

    • Assist with payroll entry support and timesheet verification

    • Help coordinate audits and assist with tax preparation support

    • Manage office filing systems — digital and physical

    • Respond to internal and external inquiries professionally and promptly

    • Provide administrative support to property managers and accounting team

    • Perform other office and accounting support tasks as needed

    Required Qualifications

    • 1–2 years of experience in an office accounting assistant role

    • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and general computer skills

    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

    • Strong organizational and time management skills

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision

    • Professional written and verbal communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field

    • Experience with property management software (AppFolio)

    • Prior experience in the real estate or property management industry
