    POSITION: Bookkeeper at Birch Bay Village Community Club

    HOURS: Full time flexible schedule during 8:30am-4:30pm M-F

    REPORTS TO: General Manager Pay: $28.00 - $36.00 LOCATION: In-Person, Blaine, WA. 98230

    Job Summary:

    As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, financial reporting, audit support, and tax filings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.     Responsibilities:

    · Manages all aspects of the company's financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations

    · Maintains and controls all aspects of accounting software including implementing any changes and documenting Standard Operating Procedures

    · Prepares and analyzes financial reports, including monthly financial statements

    · Processes payroll accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations

    · Reconciles bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness

    · Reconciles due to from accounts and fund balances monthly

    · Assists with the Annual Audit as well as sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax filings

    · Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

    · Assists with budgeting and forecasting activities, providing financial insights and recommendations to management as needed

    · Produces monthly and quarterly financial reports for the GM and Board of Directors

    · Collaborates with internal teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency

    · Ensures compliance with all relevant Federal and State financial requirements as well as the governing documents of the Association

    Qualification:

    · Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Preferred)

    · Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role

    · CPA certification (Preferred)

    · Experience in non-profit or HOA industry (Preferred)

    · Strong knowledge of accrual accounting principles and practices

    · Knowledge of HOA fund accounting and due to from accounts a serious plus

    · Proficiency in a variety of accounting software and Excel

    · Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

    · Strong organizational and time management skills

    · Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

    · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    · Reliable, easygoing, strong work ethic

    · Ability to sit and keyboard up to eight hours a day
