CRDN Team Crouch specializes in restoring textiles, electronics, artwork, and other contents damaged by fire, smoke, water, or other disasters. Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and meticulous Bookkeeper to join our team at CRDN. This person will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial transactions of the business, ensuring timely invoices, payment collection, and accurate reporting. This role is critical in maintaining the financial integrity of our restoration operations and supporting company growth.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in bookkeeping practices and software such as QuickBooks Online, highly organized, and able to work collaboratively with finance professionals and operational staff. Experience in restoration, construction, or insurance-related fields is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities
Manage financial transactions: Accurately record receivables, payables, and general ledger activity.
Maintain the general ledger: Track cash flow and ensure up-to-date financial records.
Reconcile bank and credit card statements: Conduct regular audits and identify discrepancies.
Prepare financial reports: Create income statements, balance sheets, and other reports to support leadership decision-making.
Oversee data entry: Input and review data in accounting systems (QuickBooks and Excel).
Support tax and compliance: Assist with preparing tax filings and ensure GAAP compliance.
Prepare and file sales tax reports for various states: Ensure timely and accurate reporting to meet state-specific requirements.
Manage depreciation reports: Maintain fixed asset records and oversee depreciation schedules.
Issue and follow up on invoices: Bill customers, track payment status, and follow up on overdue accounts.
Collaborate with internal teams: Work closely with operations and leadership to share insights and forecasts.
Streamline financial processes: Implement best practices and automation to improve efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
Experience: 3–5 years of bookkeeping or general accounting experience.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and other bookkeeping tools.
Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of GAAP and standard accounting principles.
Organizational Skills: Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication for interacting with customers and team members.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies independently.
Certifications: Bookkeeping certification (e.g., NACPB, AIPB) is a plus.
