Client Support Professional with Bookkeeping Skills
We are looking for a vibrant new team member who can roll with the punches during both busy and slower periods for a growing wealth management and tax firm with multiple locations. To find our most successful candidate, we offer the following insight into the position and our firm:
Skills, background and traits/tasks for the successful candidate:
· Director of First Impressions – this is the most important part of this position. We are first and foremost looking for someone to be our Hospitality Lead for our front office. Our clients’ sense of welcome and warmth is your primary goal. If you do not absolutely love engaging with multiple people both in person and via phone on a regular daily basis, this position is not for you.
· Autonomous within a larger network – This is the second most important skill for success in this position. Our front office leader must be capable of thriving in an environment where they work independently and bring their own personal motivation and initiative. Must be comfortable working alone frequently in the workplace.
· Proven experience with a reliable track record of stable previous employment – if you frequently change employment, or are routinely absent from work, please do not apply. We need new team members that our existing great team members can count on.
· Education and Experience: High School diploma required. College degree preferred. Minimum 5 years’ experience in related field.
· Accounting skills needed (these will be verified through testing):
a. Monthly Bank Statement Reconciliations
b. Financial Statement Development – P&L, Balance Sheet, A/R Aging, etc.
c. Adjusting Journal Entries and Year End Closing Entries
d. Payroll and Benefit Entry and Tax Filings
· Computer skills needed:
a. QuickBooks (Desktop and Online)
b. Payroll software system – we use ADP online
c. MS Office Suite
d. Adobe
· Resilience – A positive attitude, exceptional work ethic and willingness to lean and grow.
· Discretion – Our work involves access to confidential client data that must be protected by following regulatory and other non-disclosure rules.
· Organizational skills – Personal appearance is an utmost in this position as you are in front of clients throughout the day. Overseeing client hospitality areas as well as staff sections and keeping them in good order is an important role.
· Other routine tasks include a variety of matters not limited to: scheduling appointments, filing (electronic and physical) packaging and mailing confidential data, occasional assistance with the office mascots, and other client and staff support tasks as appropriate. Because of the confidential nature of the work we perform and the regulations involved, a criminal background check must be passed to be employed by our firm.
What does this position offer in return?
· Position is full-time permanent.
· A small amount of overtime is mandatory from February 1 through April 15 (tax season). Typically about 5 hours a week during this period.
· Compensation based on experience/qualifications.
· Benefits include health/vision/dental insurance, 410k, paid PTO/holidays.
· The company is located in an attractive, brand new office building in Walpole, NH.
Qualified candidates please forward your resume with your response.
We look forward to hearing from you!
