The Bookkeeper is responsible for journal entries, bank reconciliations, financial statement preparation, accounts receivable and daily and monthly cash disbursements and receipts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manage and respond to online reviews
- Conduct resident review follow-ups
- Complete resident walk-throughs as needed
- Schedule maintenance repairs and follow-up work identified during resident visits
- Assist with resident satisfaction and retention efforts
- Create and maintain the monthly marketing calendar
- Plan, coordinate, and host resident events
- Support community engagement initiatives and resident experience programs
- Send resident blast emails and community communications
- Support leasing operations to ensure excellent customer service and office coverage
- Office operations and administrative support
- Take and distribute weekly meeting notes
- Purchase and maintain office supplies and hospitality items for the leasing office, including coffee, water, and other necessities
- Assist with various administrative projects and operational tasks
- Financial and accounting support
- Process invoices for payment
- Request vendor and utility statements as needed
- Complete reclasses and accruals
- Support accounting functions excluding payroll-related responsibilities
- Provide support across departments as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with accounting for property management
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must use Excel proficiently
- Must be proficient in General Office Equipment and multiple software packages
- Ability to represent company in a professional manner
