Responsibilities: • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping: accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries • Process payroll accurately and on schedule using payroll software • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close packages • Track job costing for residential electrification projects (solar, EVSEs, HVAC, and more) • Maintain vendor relationships, process invoices, and manage expense reporting • Support tax preparation and serve as liaison with the company's CPA or accounting firm • Identify inefficiencies in financial workflows and propose improvements • Produce clean, accurate financial reports for leadership to support confident decision-making Qualifications: The Ideal Candidate Is A Natural Type-A Personality Who: • Is organized, precise, and genuinely enjoys reconciling accounts to the penny • Takes full ownership without being asked twice and thrives in fast-moving environments • Catches errors before they become problems and documents everything clearly • Is motivated by purpose — numbers matter more when they fuel something meaningful • Communicates proactively, surfaces issues early, and solves problems independently • Brings a growth mindset and wants to build better systems, not just maintain them Must-Haves • Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance required; bachelor's degree preferred • 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (construction or trades industry a plus) • Proficient in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero; strong Excel/Google Sheets skills • Solid understanding of GAAP principles and double-entry bookkeeping • Experience with job costing or project-based accounting strongly preferred • Impeccable attention to detail — you self-audit before you submit • Excellent time management skills: you hit every deadline, every time Compensation: 53,500 - 72,000 yearly
