Job Description
Mid-town NYC real estate developer seeks experienced bookkeeper/accountant to facilitate day-to-day accounting for construction projects commencing in the fall of 2025.
We will be using the ECI/Marks Systems, an enterprise resource planning (ERP) and information management application designed for homebuilders and property developers. We will provided comprehensive training on the system in initial 8 weeks of employment.
Day to day operations
Track all required compliance documents and ensure documentation is fully executed and approved.
Enter contracts, change orders, and invoices into project / account management software
Maintain clean tracking of project expenditures through accounting system
Monitor daily/weekly cash flow
Process payments and payrolls
Assist the company CFO with bank reconciliations
Effectively manage, communicate, and coordinate vendor invoicing and payment policies
Assist with the pre-qualification and re-qualification of vendors by managing and maintaining required documentation that is complete, accurate, and up to date prior to submission
Maintain vendor certificates of insurance and ensure endorsements are current and up to date
Communicate with vendors and consultants on invoice queries
Credit Card Reconciliations
Qualifications:
5-8 years related / relevant experience
Detail oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ideal candidate has prior experience with construction contractor/subcontractor invoices/requisitions
Flexible hours to start, with transition to full time within 9 months
Ability to work On-site Monday through Friday.
