Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the accounting department to manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, using QuickBooks Enterprise and our accounting/manufacturing software. You will also reconcile bank statements, ensure the accuracy of financial records, and assist the Office Manager with administrative tasks such as filing and purchasing office and shop supplies. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and possesses a solid understanding of accounting best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately enter financial transactions into QuickBooks Enterprise and other accounting systems
Verify the accuracy of entered transactions and resolve discrepancies
Reconcile monthly bank statements
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely manner
Assist with purchasing office and shop supplies through the company’s accounting/manufacturing software
Support the Office Manager with filing, recordkeeping, and other administrative duties
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company financial policies
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in accounting
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Clerk, or similar role
Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks Enterprise, and basic accounting/manufacturing software
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
Excellent time management and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
