We are a quaint clubhouse office conveniently located in the Fernandina Beach area seeking experienced full-time bookkeeper/office administrator. The ideal candidate is highly organized and is required to have at least 5 years of experience. This role combines bookkeeping expertise, organizational skills, and human resources experience. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, efficient, and reliable, with a passion for accuracy and problem-solving. Must be proficient in QuickBooks with excellent attention to detail.

Schedule: Full Time M-F, 35-40 hours per week (with optional remote days)

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Records Financial Transactions: Accurately records all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, and payments, using accounting software and general ledgers.
· Maintains Financial Records: Keeps financial records up-to-date, organized, and easily accessible.
· Reconciles Accounts: Regularly reconciles bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
· Prepares Financial Reports: Generates financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
· Assists with Payroll: Processes payroll, calculating wages and withholdings, and ensuring timely entry into ADP system.
· Manages Accounts Payable and Receivable: Tracks invoices, payments, and outstanding balances with vendors and clients.
· Supports Budgeting: Assists in budget preparation and monitoring, identifying variances, and recommending adjustments.
· Ensures Compliance: Ensures compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
· Collaborates with Accountants: Works closely with accountants to prepare and file tax returns, conduct audits, and address financial queries.
Office Administration:
Handles correspondence: Answers phone calls, emails, and manages mail.
Maintains office files: Organizes and files documents, both physically and electronically.
Provides customer service: Assists members, visitors and banquet customers.
Supports other departments: Assists with various tasks as needed.
Manages office supplies and equipment: Orders supplies, maintains inventory, and ensures equipment is in good working order.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Required Proficiency in accounting Online-specifically with QuickBooks programming as well as Google Workspace and Microsoft software.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry .
Strong organizational and time management skills .
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Organizational and time management skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Experience in Social and Yacht Club specific software preferred (not required)
