    Job Title: Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant (Part-Time, Seasonal) Location: Weston Field Club – Weston, CT Seasonal Position: Late Spring through Early Fall (exact dates TBD) Compensation: $21.00/hour - $27.00/hour Hours: Part-time (approx. 15–25 hours/week); flexible schedule Off-Season Opportunity: Minimal off-season hours may be available

    About Us:

    The Weston Field Club is a private, member-based club in Weston, Connecticut, offering a range of recreational and social amenities in a beautiful setting. Behind the scenes, our teams and member run committees work to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant to support our seasonal operations.

    Position Summary:

    This role is ideal for someone with bookkeeping or accounting experience who enjoys working in a small, collaborative office environment. The position is part-time and seasonal, with the possibility of minimal off-season work (such as monthly reconciliations or year-end prep). The successful candidate will assist with financial recordkeeping, member billing, accounts payable/receivable, and general administrative tasks.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks or similar accounting software

    Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor invoicing and payments

    Process member billing and assist with dues-related tracking

    Help with bank reconciliations and monthly financial reporting

    Maintain organized digital and physical financial records

    Coordinate with the General Manager and external accountant as needed

    Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and membership communications

    Qualifications:

    Prior experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial administration

    Familiarity with QuickBooks (or similar software) and Microsoft Excel

    Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

    Ability to manage confidential information with discretion

    Self-starter who is reliable and can work independently

    Excellent communication and time management skills

    Availability to work part-time hours on-site during the busy season (flexible days/times)
