Bookkeeper Position with Property Management Focus in Philadelphia, PA Seeking an individual with bookkeeping experience in the field of property management. Responsibilities include: • Managing finances for a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential properties. • Collaborate with tenants and vendors to optimize asset value and customer satisfaction. • Use our online portal to track property income and expenses and handle rent, late fees, and utility bills. • Manage payables such as taxes, mortgage payments, and vendor invoices using specialized software (Appfolio). We require a detail-oriented, organized team player for this role. Be responsible for processing all property expenses and addressing tenant payment issues. Responsibilities: • Enter data, maintain records, and produce financial reports through the property management software • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process • Verify that security deposits are collected, disbursed, and recorded in compliance with all laws and regulations • Process accounts receivable and accounts payable promptly • Post Payments monthly • Post Management fees Monthly • Work to address delinquencies • Explain all tenant charges and credits • Review all accounts for accuracy • Review and Pay Water and Utility bills when appropriate • Review and record annual Real Estate Tax Payments Qualifications: • Experience with Appfolio (or similar system) and basic accounting systems • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and flexible • Work experience as a bookkeeper, property manager, management accountant, or similar position • Good time management, problem-solving, and communication skills • Knowledge of Google Workspaces, MS Word, Excel, and property management software is helpful • Ability to handle the pressures of the fast-paced industry • Must be able to communicate well with residents and employees and have good telephone skills Compensation: $45,000 - $52,000 yearly
