    Important: This is a full-time, in-person position at our Orland Park, IL office. Remote or hybrid work is not available. Applicants must be able to work on-site during business hours.

    Join our team as a Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant! You’ll manage our day-to-day financial operations using QuickBooks and other tools, all from our friendly Orland Park office. We’re seeking a detail-oriented individual who can balance entries, reconcile accounts, manage bills, and assist with budgets. This role offers a flexible daytime schedule (core hours 9–3) in a casual, collaborative environment — perfect for someone who values stability and team interaction.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Record and reconcile transactions in QuickBooks; maintain accurate ledgers and perform weekly bank reconciliations.

    Monitor vendor bills/invoices (including email), process daily payments through Bill.com, and maintain positive vendor relationships.

    Assist with monthly budgets and reports; track expenses vs. budget and identify savings opportunities.

    Review staff shift planning and hours daily; correct discrepancies to ensure accurate payroll.

    Check/respond to finance-related emails, maintain organized records, and generate reports as needed.

    Ensure all transactions meet company policy and accounting standards; assist with year-end, audits, and tax prep.

    Qualifications:

    1–2 years bookkeeping/accounting experience.

    Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop).

    Accounts payable experience; Bill.com familiarity a plus.

    Budgeting/reporting knowledge; strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.

    Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication.

    Self-motivated, reliable, and deadline-focused.

    High school diploma required; Associate’s/Bachelor’s preferred.
