About the Position
SOB’s is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to manage financial transactions, ensure accurate record-keeping, and oversee payroll and reporting functions. This role involves processing payroll, managing entries in QuickBooks, filing NYS sales tax, handling A/P and A/R, and organizing financial data in Excel.
Key Responsibilities
* Record invoices, deposits, and payments in QuickBooks
* Process ticketing and settlement payouts
* Track POS revenue and sales reporting
* Handle dispute and chargeback management
* Oversee financial reporting and royalty administration
* Process weekly payroll for hourly, salaried, and tipped employees
* Assist with new hire onboarding and maintain HR records
* Manage payroll accuracy, including timekeeping and distribution
* Handle W-9 and 1099 paperwork
* Prepare and file NYS sales tax returns
* Ensure compliance with financial reporting and bookkeeping best practices
* Create and distribute 1099s by deadline
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in Hospitality Business Management/Bookkeeping
Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks & Excel
Strong data entry, payroll processing, and accounting skills
Ability to prepare and file NYS sales tax
Experience in financial reporting and compliance
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Pay Range: $30-$40/hour DOE
Start Date: 3-5 days
