A respected organization is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support accounting and payroll functions for assigned clients. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. The ideal candidate has strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with a solid understanding of bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting principles.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Maintain accuracy in transaction processing for accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Assist with payroll processing, quarterly filings, and sales tax returns to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies or errors in payroll transactions.
Communicate directly with clients to gather information, address inquiries, and provide accounting support.
Conduct research and analysis on accounting and tax-related topics to support client engagements.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional ethics in all client interactions and recordkeeping.
Collaborate with accounting team members to deliver high-quality service and meet client deadlines.
Participate in professional development to enhance technical knowledge and stay current with accounting standards.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
Experience with payroll processing and reconciliation.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
