    Property Management Bookkeeper

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Property Management Bookkeeper to join our growing real estate property management team. This is an on-site position with flexible scheduling, Monday through Friday, requiring a minimum of 25 hours per week and a Maxamam 38 hours per week.

    The ideal candidate will have at least two years of property management experience, be proficient in AppFolio, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills. This position plays a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, coordinating tenant and owner communications, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our property management portfolio.

    Responsibilities

    Process and record tenant rent payments

    Pay vendors and maintain accurate accounts payable records

    Prepare and distribute owner disbursements

    Account for and reconcile tenant security deposits

    Manage tenant move-ins and move-outs

    Onboard new property owners and set up accounts

    Coordinate maintenance requests and repairs between tenants and vendors

    Maintain accurate tenant, owner, and property records in AppFolio

    Assist with property management accounting and reporting

    Communicate professionally with tenants, owners, vendors, and team members

    Support office operations and administrative tasks as needed

    Learn and utilize ZipForms and assist with MLS data entry and updates

    Qualifications

    Minimum of 2 years of property management experience (required)

    Experience using AppFolio property management software (required)

    Strong communication and customer service skills

    Professional appearance and positive attitude

    Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

    Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate recordkeeping

    Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced office environment

    Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

    Willingness to learn ZipForms and assist with MLS input and maintenance

    Previous experience in a real estate or property management office

    Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion

    Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems

    Strong mathematical and analytical skills

    Flexible hours

    Minimum 25 hours per week

    Maximum 35 hours per week
