    Summary of Responsibilities:

    Join DECA Consulting as a Bookkeeper, where your expertise will play a key role in managing our financial operations. You will be responsible for overseeing QuickBooks, handling invoices, managing accounts receivable and payable, and processing payroll. Collaborate closely with our Office Manager and Accountant to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

    Essential Functions

    • Manage QuickBooks Online for accurate reconciliation, financial reporting, and record-keeping.
    • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely invoicing, billing, and payment processing.
    • Process payroll accurately, including tracking employee hours, deductions, and tax withholdings
    • Prepare and maintain financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
    • Ensure tax compliance, including preparing documentation for tax filings and audits.
    • Monitor cash flow, track expenses, and support budget management.
    • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
    • Maintain organized financial records, both digital and physical, ensuring easy access and security.
    • Collaborate with the Accountant for financial reviews, audits, and reporting requirements.
    • Additional administrative responsibilities as needed.

      Education, Experience, and Skills Required

      • 5+ years of solid bookkeeping experience.
      • Proficient with QuickBooks Online.
      • Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is preferred.
      • Proficiency in office software (MS Suite, Zoom) and the ability to learn new tools quickly.

      Compensation

      • Competitive salary: $19–$23 per hour, based on experience
      • Full-time role (30–40 hours/week with flexible scheduling options)
