    Job Summary

    We are seeking a talented Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Accounting department to maintain accurate financial records and ensure the company’s compliance with all legal requirements. Your responsibilities will include recording and verifying transactions, bringing the books to the trial balance stage, and completing tax forms. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of best practices in accounting.

    Responsibilities

    1. Bookkeeping: · Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients. · Handle accounts payable and receivable. · Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.
    2. Tax Preparation: · Prepare individual and business tax returns. · Stay current with tax laws and regulations. · Provide guidance to clients on tax-related matters.
    3. Financial Analysis: · Assist in the preparation of financial statements. · Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to clients for better decision-making.
    4. Client Communication: · Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information. · Address client inquiries regarding financial and tax matters.
    5. Compliance: · Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. · Stay informed about changes in accounting and tax standards.

    Qualifications

    1. Experience: · Minimum 5 years of experience as a bookkeeper · Minimum 2 years of experience in tax preparation. · Expert with QuickBooks accounting software and knowledge of tax preparation software.
    2. Skills: · Strong attention to detail and accuracy. · Excellent organizational and time-management skills. · Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. · Knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
    3. Communication: · Strong verbal and written communication skills. · Ability to explain financial and tax concepts to clients.
    4. Team Player: · Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. · Willingness to assist with various tasks as needed.
