    Job Summary

    Street & Company is small, family owned real estate company seeking a full time bookkeeper for our management department. Our management portfolio consists of 75+ properties in the Boston area, each of which is handled by one of our property managers. As the office bookkeeper, you will work closely with the property managers to ensure that each property's finances and records are kept in good order. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of best practices in accounting.

    Responsibilities

    Process accounts payable and accounts receivable

    Bring books to the trial balance stage

    Produce monthly and quarterly financial statements for each property manager within deadlines

    Assist property managers with record keeping and other administrative tasks

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field

    Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position encouraged

    Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

    Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems

    Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills

    Adaptable and willing to assist coworkers in a small office environment
