TOMc LLC, a locally owned and growing Jackson Hewitt franchise group, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Office/Personal AssistantAbout the Role This is a part-time, salaried position that combines bookkeeping and administrative support. You’ll handle bill payments, daily income entries for multiple offices, payroll-hour tracking, and assist the leadership team with scheduling, travel, and correspondence. Schedule:
November – April: approximately 35 hours per week (Monday–Friday)
May – October: approximately 2 days per week
Average: about 1,000 hours per year

Enter and reconcile daily income for each office location
Process accounts payable and ensure timely vendor payments
Record payroll hours and assist with payroll preparation
Maintain QuickBooks records and support transition to Xero
Reconcile bank accounts and prepare monthly bookkeeping summaries
Assist leadership with scheduling, correspondence, travel planning, and general administrative needs
Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
Qualifications
3 + years bookkeeping experience (A/P, A/R, reconciliations, payroll entry)
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks; familiarity with or interest in Xero a plus
Working knowledge of Excel and MS Office applications
Excellent organization, accuracy, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage shifting workloads throughout the year
Prior experience supporting executives or small-business owners preferred
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $28,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
Part-time, salaried position (≈ 1,000 hours per year)
Flexible schedule with reduced summer hours
