Civil Engineering Technician (Raleigh, NC)

Occupational Summary:

Booth & Associates, LLC is a consulting engineering firm that specializes in providing a full range of engineering, surveying and project management services to the utility industry. We are currently looking for a qualified civil technician responsible for assisting with permit applications, drawings and occasional field work. This position reports to the General Manager of Support Services. Incumbents are expected to perform a variety of tasks, which provide experience and familiarity with engineering staff, methods, practices and programs. The designer will need to be flexible with work assignments and eager to learn new tasks.

Position responsibilities include:

Provides research assistance with all aspects of site design and specifications including zoning, erosion control and stormwater management.

Assists in preparing project-related permit applications and reports as needed.

Some field work/other duties as required.

Good written and verbal communication skills

Experience with ESRI ArcGIS and AutoCAD Civil 3d useful

Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Minimum Qualifications:

Two-year Associates in Drafting, Design and or Civil/Survey preferred but not required.

Previous construction and field experience are a plus.
