Bootlegger is currently seeking a Fashion CAD Graphic Designer to join our Merchandising Team and support the development of Bootlegger’s clothing and accessories. Our Fashion CAD Graphic Designer will be focused on altering and developing prints, designs, and graphics that will be used in the development of our garments, bringing to life the vision of our merchandising team when it comes to our styles.
More specifically, our Fashion CAD Graphic Designer will be responsible for…
Fashion Computer Aided Design
Using technical and creative knowledge and ability to execute finished, CAD artwork projects based on the direction and needs of the merchandising team
Using resources such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to design and recolor prints/repeats and embroideries, appliques and yarn dyes
Presenting design solutions for discussion and implementation
Preparing completed, production ready artwork package in a timely manner based on the product type
Organizing materials and prioritizes projects based on the seasonal deadlines
Color matching of seasonal palette to be used in CAD programs
Maintaining and managing current and archival files for design projects in an orderly, consistent and safe method for future reference and use
Ensuring that equipment and files are updated and maintained using internal and external technical support as needed; orders and maintains supplies for CAD equipment when needed
Auxiliary Graphic Design Assignments
Assisting in the development of original, creative design solutions to meet the objectives of the Bootlegger visual brand across multiple medias, including print, web and digital multi-media
Supporting the workload of graphic designers and the merchandising team through the creation of graphic elements for projects, including photo retouching of files, creating illustrations, and file assembly based on pre-existing designs
Working to ensure consistency of key design elements to maintain an integrated look and feel throughout brand communications materials
Appling visual brand standards across all projects
Managing files for design projects
Liaising with external vendors as required
Bootlegger is looking for an individual to fill this role who has…
Experience working in the fashion apparel industry is a strong asset
Degree or Diploma in a Graphic Design is required
1-3 years’ experience working in the field of graphic design is preferred
Must have high level of creativity with strong design and brand identity sensibilities
Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is required
Ability to work independently, solve problems and take initiative
Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills are required
Portfolio of artwork or related design projects required
