Job Description

Borton Petrini, LLP, a dynamic A-V rated law firm, has an opening in our Sacramento office for an experience legal secretary with a minimum of five years' experience with an ability to perform delegated legal work with an emphasis in civil litigation and insurance defense (California-specific). You will work under the supervision of an attorney and provide support in assigned legal cases.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will provide administrative support to one or more attorneys including drafting, formatting, editing, and proofreading legal documents with attention to detail.
• You will be responsible for calendaring and must be familiar with court rules and procedures as well as processing and filing documents.
• Your goal at our office is to sustain efficiency of all office procedures and case management so as to guarantee reliability and consistency.

SKILLS

• You will need to have proven experience as a legal secretary specifically in civil litigation practice area.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal technology such as court-filing computer systems and case management programs.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, be detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple assignments in a timely manner.
• Typing certificate of 55 wpm is required.
