    Job Description

    Working as part of the Automotive Aftermarket division, the OEM Service Tools & Distribution Services business supports its customers to achieve service readiness across global dealer networks for new vehicles and technologies. This position will be responsible for developing product management programs including Tool Initiation and eCommerce as well as support for our Dealer Equipment Service team.. The candidate for this position will be able to coordinate the development of the products, product strategies, sales objectives, reporting, and ensure the execution of these programs.

    TOOL INITIATION & ECOMMERCE:

    • Work with the engineering groups to identify new Bosch technology introductions based on specific market needs and/or new vehicle technology introductions including electric vehicles & fuel cell technologies.
    • Work cross functionally with Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, Logistics, and Plants
    • Manage any supplier relationships and ensure product roadmap requirements are adopted and delivered. 
    • Lead product management efforts with responsibility for defining the product roadmap, pricing strategy, business plan and product offers
    • Analyze market for growth potential, explore/identify new market requirements and opportunities.
    • Develop customer & internal management presentations regarding market conditions, trends, product roadmaps, & competitive pricing.
    • Define, design, and drive the development and management of the features and functionality of the program platforms.
    • Manage the program budgets and support in analyzing the make-vs-buy decision.
    • Assist business leads by reviewing financials and analyzing key business metrics on all ecommerce activities. 
    • Work with existing stakeholders to support the development, approval, and release processes of assigned products.
    • Support the introduction of new products launched in NA
    • Ensure local, regional, and global certification requirements.
    • Evaluate market development and derive strategic actions to grow the product lines further including product & price management.
    • Plan product phase-out and replacement strategies

    DES PRM SUPPORT:

    • Drive and coordinate Dealership Equipment Services (DES) supplier and supplier products into OEM Programs.
    • Work with suppliers in the development of product roadmaps and execute new product introductions into OEM Programs.
    • Locate new suppliers and products to drive profitable growth.
    • Assist in the negotiations with suppliers regarding the technical aspects of their products, work to obtain lowest cost to DES, and confirm supplier products meet OEM requirements.
    • Collaborate with DES Supply Chain Manager in the development, negotiation and execution of DES supplier agreements and required documentation.
    • Assist in determining effectiveness of DES suppliers and make recommendations for improvement.
    • Interact and collaborate with Bosch DES program Account Managers to increase related program sales driving revenue and margin improvements for DES.
    • Be the supplier point of contact for questions and technical issues related to OEM or Account Manager Product requirements.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree required. Marketing or Engineering preferred
    • 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably product/project or process management in automotive or similar industry
    • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic and big picture ideas to contribute to the growth of this product category
    • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills within a professional setting
    • Experience leading a project or cross-functional team is preferred
    • Experience working with electric vehicles/alternative drive train is preferred
    • Ability to demonstrate accountability, initiative and high motivation/passion
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and specialist-level knowledge of Excel
    • SAP skills preferred

    This position is predominantly based in an office setting where verbal, email, internet and phone are the primary forms of interaction, however, up to 10% of time may be spent in vehicle maintenance shop environment. Travel for this role is expected and could be up to 10% of time.
