Job Description
• Perform 3D/2D modeling of mechanical systems • Use CREO/Pro-E to develop Steering Systems in accordance with internal and industry design standards
• Work closely with Engineers to create prototype and production designs, models, and drawings • Troubleshoot bench testing and/or vehicle issues which can occur during development • Support the Project Team to establish and maintain relationships at the OEM • Support all continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts • Support Engineers to gain OEM approval of manufacturing changes or deviations as requested by manufacturing plant
• Up to 20% domestic & international travel to customer sites, Bosch sites, and supplier sites is required • Comply with all QS9000 policies and procedures
• Fundamental 3D modeling and 2D drawing skills • Experience in manufacturing process of steel, aluminum, or plastic components • Experience in APQP process for developing components for serial production • Preferably experience in automotive development • Preferably experience in CREO/Pro-E • Preferably experience in GD&T, DFMEA, DVP&R, DFSS, VAVE activities • Pursuing BSME/BS (or equivalent)
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Currently enrolled with Kettering University
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering
Minimum cumulative GPA of a 3.0
