Job Description

THIS INTERNSHIP WILL BE PARTIALLY REMOTE BUT THE HIRED APPLICANT WILL BE EXPECTED TO COME INTO THE MOUNT PROSPECT OFFICE. ONLY LOCAL APPLICANTS WILL BE CONSIDERED.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Partner with the Recruiter, HR Business Partner, Hiring Manager, and candidate to schedule and coordinate phone, and/or in person interviews
• Support the onboarding process by initiating pre-employment background checks, drug screens, and preparing new hire paperwork
• Monitor employee referrals and process employee referral payouts
• Potential HR projects could include, HR analytics, employee development and training programs, and much more
• May assist in the identification of prospective candidates using internet and database search techniques
• Partner with HR team to update internal information and HR communication page

Qualifications

• This will be a yearlong internship so you must be able to commit to 24 - 40 hours a week
• Must be currently enrolled or recently graduated from an accredited HR program
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and follow-up skills
• Consistently demonstrates professionalism while having a positive and solution-oriented approach
• Maintain confidentiality of department and associate information according to established practice
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable interacting with all levels of management
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel)
• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
• This internship is only open to student who will not now, nor in the future, require sponsorship to work in the United States
