Job Description

Our team works at the intersection of AI and IoT for developing exciting smart building technologies. We are looking for an enthusiastic research intern to develop an AI based solution for detection and tracking of events and objects of interest by fusing multiple sensing modalities, including WiFi, mmWave sensors, and cameras.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• By deploying appropriate sensors, collect camera images, WiFi signals (CSI, RSSI), and mmWave sensor data.
• Develop novel AI algorithms for detection, tracking, and classification of events and objects of interest.
• Show a proof-of-concept demo.
• Evaluate the performance of the solution.
• Summarize the findings and publish a high-quality research paper.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:

• Strong background in computer vision, WiFi, mmWave data analytics, sensor fusion, and AI based techniques (at least in two such areas).
• Enrolled in a Ph.D. program in computer science, electrical engineering or closely related field.

DESIRED QUALIFICATION:

• Strong background in algorithms, modeling, and tracking techniques.
• Strong research and problem-solving skills.
• Publication records in leading venues (CVPR/ICCV/ ICML/AAAI/ SenSys/IPSN) are a plus.
