  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Application support and training
      • Learn and support vehicle builds for any and all projects which includes writing work orders and ensuring project timelines are met and vehicles are built properly and on time
        • Gathering parts/instrumentation
        • Writing work orders
        • Overseeing and supporting the build
        • Test and debug
    • Help with organization of instrumentation and parts 
      • Check that all instrumentation is labeled with bar code, scanned and in the system
      • Assist with asset tracking – check-in/check-out of instrumentation
        • Confirm that equipment is in location as entered into the tracker
    • Support SW re-flash as needed at customer locations
    • SDC (semi-active Damping Control) bench set-up
      • work with engineers to finalize a test bench in the eLab
      • learn SDC calibrations and test bench validation process
    • Keep Harley-Davidson Digital Techlink 3 updated with the latest software
    • Identify application specific wiring harness needs
      • Discuss with Application engineers what is needed for harnesses
      • Organize parts to create harnesses in one location in the lab, document and store
      • Create prints for wire harnesses
      • Build wiring harnesses as needed
    • Assist with CIP projects
    • Assist 2WP-NA Safety Committee with organizational tasks
    • Work side-by-side with Sr. Application Engineer with daily tasks
      • Shadow the calibration process for 2-wheel or powersports value-added functions
        • Learn tools used for data acquisition and analysis, calibration changes, navigation of logic
        • Assist with SW tools to optimize Application/Calibration work (Java, Macros, VBA, Data Analytics…)
        • Learn Vehicle Test Catalog validation content and preparation for approval
        • Participate in DRBFM reviews for software releases
      • Complete performance rider training to level 2
      • Review and understand customer DVPs
      • Assist with completing vehicle test validation for projects as needed
      • Complete data analysis and put in presentable pass/fail format in Excel for customer projects
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree from KETTERING UNIVERSITY in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems or SW engineering or equivalent with at least one semester completed
    • Experience with 2-wheel and power sports vehicles
    • Experience with Excel macros and SW code
    • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university
    • Minimum of overall GPA of at least 3.0
    • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
