Job Description
The EHS Intern will provide assistance with sustainability, environmental health and safety compliance, the environmental management system, and the occupational health and safety management system. In addition, the intern will assist in maintaining and continually improving the Environmental, Health, and Safety management systems for the organization in Burnsville, MN.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Collect and validate data for the EHS sustainability program and update sustainability reports.
Collect and maintain HSE related data (Safety Data Sheets (SDS), contractor, legal and other requirements, training).
Facilitate Associate Safety Committee.
Participate in Hazard Assessments & MAE (machinery & equipment) inspections.
Participate in development of quarterly newsletters.
Update HSE content on the company intranet
Develop, review and update documentation to support the quality, environmental, and health and safety management systems. (ISO 9001, AS 9100, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001)
Support shipping & receiving department as a backup, as needed (includes processing UPS orders and delivering mail)
Other duties as assigned by the Facilities / HSE Manager
Qualifications
MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK 10-20 HOURS PER WEEK DURING THE FALL AND SPRING SCHOOL SEMESTERS, AND FULL OR PART TIME DURING THE SUMMER; SPECIFIC HOURS ARE FLEXIBLE TO ACCOMMODATE CLASS SCHEDULE.
