    Job Description

    As Dremel eCommerce Content and Advertising Specialist, you will:

    BE A MEMBER OF AN AGILE AND DYNAMIC TEAM: Monitors daily user interactions and sales trends as part of a diverse and international group, and works within a recently established content excellence community.

    HELP SHAPE THE FUTURE: Responsible for creating and owning the strategy, ideation, and evaluation of Amazon Advertising tactics throughout the user journey.  Manages full-funnel initiatives that support the overall targets, and continuously analyzes the performance, and derives and executes learnings.

    CREATE SOMETHING NEW: With content and search as key success drivers, creates target-group SEO optimization strategies and assets (written, visual, etc) for products and services. Autonomously researches information and innovation within international and cross-functional teams.

    OBSERVE AND THINK AHEAD: Continuously reviews and enhances the quality of content (text, images, video, etc) to ensure that it serves user needs and is optimized for search algorithms.

    TAKE RESPONSIBILITY: Shares content requirements with the product and user marketing teams to ensure compliance within the Amazon platform and brand style guidelines.

    BUILD A NETWORK: Works directly and in close collaboration with the account, internal departments (e.g. product marketing), and external service providers (e.g. translation agencies), globally.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    CONTENT OPTIMIZATION

    • Updates and optimizes listing content; maintains product information and implements required updates, procures and uploads new or corrected content (both textual and visual), manages variants and asset sizes via back-end systems and/or case management, and cleans-up data.
    • Creates premium A+ content, and local content, per product portfolio listings across retailer back-end portals (ex: Vendor Central).
    • Tracks sales and traffic results for optimized content, both general and specific insights and learnings, to continuously implement improvements.

    NEW ITEM LISTING

    • Completes listing templates for new products through the creation and collection of all necessary product information (keyword research, title and bullet point creation, descriptions, translation of content, modification of images, categorization research, etc) and collection of product specs, logistics data, etc.
    • Responsible for uploads and error correction. Creates variant & bundle listings.

    ADVERTISING

    • Manages upper-funnel strategy, including media testing, alignment and modification, to learn and optimize the performance of future campaigns.
    • Defines KPIs, success controls, and budget, and continuously monitors and adapts to drive results.
    • Acts as the main point of contact with external agencies, evaluating and steering the account.

    PAID SEARCH MANAGEMENT

    • Drives paid search performance on retailer websites (ie AMS).  Includes maintaining day-to-day contact with appropriate retail team members and the management agencies where relevant.

      

    ONLINE CATEGORY MANAGEMENT

    • Updates listings to match the most relevant and niche category for improved findability and ranking.

    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES AS ASSIGNED

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    A successful candidate will have:

    • A Bachelor's degree
    • 5+ years of experience, specifically in the eCommerce Content and Advertising space.
    • Strong project management, communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.
    • A high attention to detail.
    • A dynamic, team player mentality with a digital and open mindset.
    • The ability to formulate and execute on strategy, and make decisions based on data and analytics.
    • Experience proactively identifying and driving opportunities, market conditions and trends, and convincingly presenting ideas to all levels of the organization.
    • The ability to prioritize competing tasks with multiple levels of urgency, and cross-functionally.
    • Expertise within the advertising and/or marketing field, and experience working with Amazon Advertising from the client/agency perspective.  A search and display back-ground is a must.
    • A strong understanding of the technical foundations of digital advertising to include robust analytic skills and a passion for driving results.  Comfortable with the evaluation, preparation, and presentation of data.
    • Expertise as a digital journalist, editor and/or content creator; experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
    • Experience with common SEO and keyword tools, and hands-on application in working with CMS systems.
