    Job Description

    Internship: Summer/Fall (remote work possible for the right person)

    The Instructional Design Intern is responsible for working directly with the Training Coordinator, Training Manager, and the technical trainer team to design, develop, implement, and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS) online course offerings, track customer evaluation data, create reports, and manage content creation projects related to training. The Instructional Design Intern must represent Bosch Building Technologies in a professional manner and be able to work independently with strong attention to detail, excellent computer skills, and solid organizational and communication skills. Internship duration is summer and/or fall but may extend 12-18 months, and requires approximately 30-40 hours per week schedule.

    PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provides Intrusion and Access technical training solutions to internal, external, and end users. Training content will include online as well as instructor-led learning in support of Bosch business objectives.
    • Provides accurate technical product education and assessments on the complete portfolio of Bosch Access and Intrusion security products.
    • Responsible for project management of all assigned product launch training requirements, including but not limited to online training plans, how-to-videos, webinar, virtual classroom, and face-to-face content, as well as content maintenance and updates.
    • Assists in the needs assessment, design, creation, innovation, and updates of training programs or materials.
    • Participates as an SME in the train-the-trainer process through demonstration of delivery concept and customer journey of certification paths on Access and Intrusion products.
    • Requires ability to storyboard and develop easily accessible and understood technical solutions based on application and specific customer needs.
    •  May help support other educational customer events such as tradeshows, sales academies, product launch roadshows, marketing promotions, etc
    • Must be proficient in Windows OS, IP Networking, Microsoft Teams, Office Suite, and online content creation tools.
    • Has an aggressive determination to succeed, model work ethic, and ability to work independently as well as with others.
    • Must demonstrate excellent presentation, verbal, and written skills in English (Multi-lingual a plus), and professional representation with a strong desire to educate and help others succeed.
    • Work from home may be required.
    • Other continuous improvement training related projects as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION:

    • Preferred currently be enrolled in a relevant academic degree program such as but not limited to Instructional Design, Education, Business Administration/ Business Management, Organizational Management and or Marketing Management, with no more than one-year post graduation.
    • Able to commit to a minimum internship duration of 6-12 months with possibility of extension.
    • Able to commit to a minimum of 30 hours per week schedule.
    • U.S. work authorization required. Bosch Security Systems, Inc. does not offer sponsorship for interns.
    • Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0 required.
    • Local applicants preferred but not required.

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum 1 year of pedagogy instructional design, technical training/adult education experience, or combined educational/training design experience.
    • Experience with gamification, ADDIE methodology, AR and VR, virtual classroom delivery, and instructional design tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate, and Camtasia desired.
    • Must be a “self-starter” with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced administrative capacity.
    • Excellent computer skills using MS Office software packages.  Must possess strong communication, organizational, and customer relations skills.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 70 lbs., meet demands required with travel, and must be able to speak, sit, and/or stand for extended periods of time.
