Job Description

Working Students are exposed to a wide variety of testing as they support the technicians with their daily work:

• Assist testing of automotive electronic modules and systems, including sample management, test set-ups, environmental chamber operation and pre/post testing
• Support IPX environmental testing (dust and water exposure) and Corrosion testing
• Assist with thermal chamber preventative maintenance
• Assist with wiring harness management and build
• Assist with force testing (tension and compression) on the Instron machine
• Photograph test samples pre test and post test and document any changes
• 8S (workplace organization awareness and practices)
• Manage deadlines & prioritize workload with Technicians and Validation Project Manager (VPM)

Qualifications

• Enrolled in 2-4 Year degree College ( e.g. Computer/SW, Mechatronics/ME, Electronics/EE, ) Associate or Bachelor Degree students only
• Experience with hands-on technical set-ups, measurements, and problem solving
• Experience using digital volt-meters
• Experience crimping and soldering
• Drivers license and good driving record
• Basic MS office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Good communicator that works effectively with technicians and engineers
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Must be able to work at least 18-20hrs per week
• Must be 18 years of age

Preferred:

• Experience with basic data acquisition systems
• Experience with LabVIEW
