Job Description

Be part of the purchasing engineering team in electronics and learn from experts in new product development for our Automotive Service Solutions purchasing team. 

In this cross functional role, you will get exposure to various purchasing tools, PPAP, ISIR (initial sample inspection reports) and shadow costing. Projects include resourcing different components, rationalization, identifying potential suppliers in LCC markets (low cost country) and scouting tools to identify new potential technology.  

• Responsible to create and manage schedules for sourcing/cost savings projects
• Project Management of timing, cost and release of tools
• Work closely with commodity purchasing to select the best cost effective suppliers
• Coordination of activities between purchasing, engineering, quality in the Identification of potential suppliers
• Review specifications and particular characteristics with Engineering and Purchasing Quality

Qualifications

• Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA
• Current student in an accredited Engineering or Supply Chain Management bachelor degree program
• Technical competence: ability to read engineering drawings and understand technical specifications
• Effective and creative problem-solving skills and time management/prioritization skills
• Ability to interact well with other internal departments and suppliers
• Advanced Excel skills preferred
• SAP experience/course work highly preferred
• Position is not eligible for international assignment or relocation

Additional Information

Successful candidate will gain experience and exposure to the Bosch Procurement System, and gain process knowledge in the automotive aftermarket division. Candidate will be exposed to other Bosch locations and to suppliers' manufacturing plants.
