Job Description
HEALTH, SAFETY, AND ENVIRONMENTAL (HSE)
- Ensure compliance to environmental, OSHA, ISO14001 and Federal, State, and local requirements.
- Conduct ergonomic assessments in order to prevent ergonomic related injuries in higher risk processes
- Participate in the specification, review and sign-off on safety standards for new equipment (MAE)
- Develop, plan and implement environmental, health, and safety policies/procedures and reporting in compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 regulations, as well as other local, state, federal regulations and company procedures.
- Lead HSE projects to improve HSE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Lead the investigation of incidents, near misses, accidents and injuries to determine root causes and ensure corrective actions are identified and implemented in a timely. Perform follow up in order to ensure the PDCA cycle is followed.
- Regularly audit facilities, equipment and processes in order to identify and correct potential hazards and to ensure environmental and health safety regulation compliance. Prioritize major risks across sites, and ensure actions are taken to mitigate or eliminate risks.
- Coordinate and lead the Bosch Emergency Response Team meetings and facility activities.
- Update compliance and HSE-related reports such as OSHA 300 log, reporting to Bosch insurance carrier, Tier II, TSCA.
- Lead physical plant security initiatives.
- Identify projects to support Bosch sustainability initiatives, including wastewater reduction, carbon-neutrality goals, zero-waste-to-landfill (ZWTL)
- Drive accident reduction and improve the safety culture.
FACILITIES AND MAINTENANCE (FCM)
- May be responsible for some FCM related duties such as coordinating contractors to provide quotes and oversee the safe, timely, and cost-effective completion of projects. Maintain contractor safety program to ensure compliance with CD03800.
- Work with local FCM representative to ensure timely regular maintenance of key equipment and internal systems (e.g. heating system, alarms, security cameras)
- Testing building security systems and promoting safety within the building.
- Monitoring maintenance budget spending.
PROTECTION SECURITY (PRS)
- Submits recommendations for improvements and additions to the safety management program including emergency preparedness, accident prevention, general safety, and risk management.
- May administer the badge access control system, including creating badges for new associates, revoking access for former associates.
- Maintain and increase Security awareness at site level
- May monitor closed circuit television cameras (CCTV) and report any unusual activities.
- Manage / coordinate the cooperation with external security providers, e.g. guarding companies
- Consult departments at sites regarding security issues
- May act as contact person regarding all site-related security issues
The job duties described above will encompass responsibilities for multiple sites such as Irvine, California (B/S/H/); Ontario, California (GS/OSD); Lake Forest, California (EB/RBU); Tempe, Arizona (BST, PS)
