    Job Description

    Powersports and 2-Wheeler Team is responsible for the powersports customer BRP (Bombardier Recreational Products).  Bosch supply’s Active Safety, Powertrain, Connectivity and other technologies to this customer, for use on PWCs, SXS, ATVs, and Snowmobiles.

    The Sales Engineer has involvement with Acquisition, Project and Sales Management, to ensure customer satisfaction and to protect Bosch interest.  The candidate will flexible and multi-skilled with a passion for building long-term customer relationships in the unique world of Two-Wheeler and Powersports.

    Acquisition Management:

    • Work with the Powersports and 2-Wheeler team and together with the Product Business Unit to understand product offerings / specs, etc. and to identify potential opportunities.
    • Work with customers to clarify requirements.
    • Use the planning, quotation and salesforce tools for successful acquisition of new business including coordinating internal and external activities for specific product areas and customers.
    • Quotation preparation and approval

    Project Management:

    • Meetings with customers discussing requirements, changes and timing.
    • Responsible for costing engineering changes.
    • Identify and elevate resources needs or surplus.
    • Lead internal change management on engineering change requests from the customers.
    • Work with engineering teams to track and control project costs and maintain/improve profitability of projects.

    Sales Management:

    • Coordinate Legal review and negotiation of Customer Agreements
    • Forecast regional market sales, growth, and profit.
    • Ensure Bosch is following customer business practices
    • Manage customer pricing adjustments
    • Coordinate customer sample orders and delivery
    • Manage customer’s accounts receivable to ensure timely payments
    • Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering and logistics to implement ECRs
    • Coordination of critical delivery and part allocation issues
    • Coordinate customer general information requests
    • Occasional travel as needed, domestic and international, up to 25%
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • BS Degree in Engineering or Business field
    • 3+ years of related work experience 
    • 2 years project management/skills experience
    • 2+ years of experience working directly with external customers.
    • 2+ years of experience working with cross functional, international teams.

    Preferred:

    • Strong business understanding with distinct result orientation and strong attention to detail.
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels in the organization.
    • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
    • Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities.
    • Strong sense of responsibility and commitment.
    • Capable to work independently in an organized and structured fashion.
    • Experience with Hardware, Software and/or Calibration development.
    • Motorcycle endorsement and/or experience with off-road powersports vehicles.
    • Due to global nature of this position, it may be necessary to work some non-traditional hours to accommodate different time zones.
    • This position is hybrid, but some tasks will require office presence to complete.
