    Job Description

    • Conduct advanced research and engineering in reinforcement learning and controls for robotic manipulation
    • Apply research results to real-world applications with high quality implementation
    • Integrate the resulting system/software into existing Bosch platform
    • Summarize research findings in high-quality paper and/or patent submissions
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:

    The ideal candidate is familiar with the following skill sets:

    • Strong background in reinforcement learning and manipulation
    • Solid C++ programming skill
    • Experience with robotics manipulation libraries like ROS, Gazebo and MoveIt!
    • Able to work independently, has strong research and problem solving skills
    • Good communication and teamwork skills

    DESIRED QUALIFICATION:

    • Publication record in top venues (ICRA, IROS, RSS, CoRL, NeurIPs etc)
    • Familiar with Gym + Mujoco environment, deep learning packages such as PyTorch, TensorFlow or Keras.
    • Hands-on experience with robotics manipulation systems such as Baxter, PR2, Panda, etc and perception systems using Kinect etc

     

    Additional Information

    • Major(s): Computer Science or related field
    • Degree level: Ph.D. or Master –Must be a current student or recent graduate (less than 1 year)
    • Start Date: Summer 2020
