Engineering interns and co-ops with Electro-Voice are provided the opportunity to be a valuable part of the loudspeaker engineering team. Interns and co-ops work with engineers throughout the entire process of research and development activities to bring new loudspeaker products to market. Electro-acoustics is an interdisciplinary field that requires a broad and adaptable skillset. Intern and co-op candidates are not expected to have a deep understanding of electro-acoustics, but will be expected to demonstrate and apply the knowledge gained from their chosen field of engineering. Common job duties for interns and co-ops include:

    LAB WORK:

    ·         Constructing prototype loudspeaker systems

    ·         Acoustical, electrical, mechanical, and material testing and measurements

    ·         Design and build new test systems (hardware, software, uC’s, DAQ, etc. )

    ·         Test system maintenance and repair (Soldering, wiring, mechanical repairs)

    ANALYTICAL WORK:

    ·         Acoustic, mechanical, and electro-magnetic simulation

    ·         Test data analysis and trouble shooting

    ·         CAD

    ·         Assist with general product development and industrialization activities
