    Job Description

    • Main responsibility: Project management within purchasing for XC division Cross-Domain Computing Solutions focusing on the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems e.g, Radar, on Advanced Network Solutions e.g. keyless modules, on Cockpit Technologies, making sure achievement of quality, cost and delivery targets , main focus in the Cost reduction implementation
    • You are the purchasing representative in the product development process and cross-functional SE-teams.
    • As Purchasing Project Manager, you are responsible for the management of cost saving activities for procured parts as member of a cross-functional team (RPP).
    • You accompany the change management for procured parts (ECR) and interface to material field and quality purchasing within the purchasing organization.
    • Owner in the development of supplier strategies in the North America region for XC projects
    • Reliable implementation: Coordination of components from acquisition phase via sourcing process up to successful introduction into mass production.
    • Experience cooperation: Interface to product engineering and development, material field purchasing, technical service centers and quality teams
    • Networked communication: Purchasing representative in simultaneous engineering teams in an international environment
    • Help shape the future: Initiate and coordinate concept competitions for components and contribute to supplier selection
    • Working Practice: result orientation, initiative, reliable and team-oriented, ability to lead cross-function teams, good skills to efficiently develop a network in a complex organization and ability to discuss costs.

    Travel expectation : Up to 20% (Domestic and International)

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    _ Basic Qualifications:_

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business
    • 3+ years of experience in the automotive industry, to include one or more of the following: technical project management, engineering or project purchasing experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of experience in any of the following: plastic molding, surface painting.
    • Supplier quality assurance experience
    • Project management
    • Solid understanding of cost drivers
    • Knowledge of MS-Office applications
    • SAP experience
