Job Description

During your SOFTWARE ENGINEERING INTERNSHIP/CO-OP ROTATION at Bosch you will be WORKING ON AUTOMOTIVE IOT SYSTEM SOLUTIONS and your tasks will include:

• Working with Bosch internal or external customers
• Working based on technologies like Vehicle-to-Everything communication (DSRC V2X) and CAN/Ethernet-to-LTE 4G Connectivity Control Units (LTE 4G CCU)
• Being responsible for BREAKING-DOWN PROJECTS INTO SPECIFIC WORK-PACKAGES and estimating required efforts
• COLLABORATING AND COORDINATING TECHNICAL ACTIVITIES with a global Bosch development team
• Executing software development work packages using C, GO, PYTHON, JAVA AND OTHERS
• Ensuring the defined technical path will meet all customer specifications

While executing projects you will be LEARNING ABOUT CURRENT TRENDS OF THE AUTOMOTIVE IOT SYSTEMS DRIVEN BY BOSCH.

Qualifications

Required

• CURRENTLY ENROLLED WITH KETTERING UNIVERSITY
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering 
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Must be 18 years or older
• Section A student

Preferred - an ideal candidate has preferably hands-on experience with and is personally motivated in:

• Applying agile methodology for SW development
• Object Oriented Programming and Scripting Languages
• Linux Board Support Packages
• Analytically debugging software
• Using source control tools like SVN, GIT etc.
• Creating requirement specifications, system designs, test-plans and reports
• Using IoT device communication/network technologies such as LTE 4G, LTE-M, NB-IoT, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth LE, ZigBee, Z-Wave, LoRaWAN
• Working self-organized (task definition, planning and follow-up)
