Job Description
THERE IS AN IMMEDIATE NEED FOR A PURCHASING INTERN IN BURNSVILLE, MN. APPLICANTS SHOULD BE AVAILABLE TO WORK PART-TIME HOURS (10-20 PER WEEK) DURING THE SCHOOL SEMESTER (DAYS AND TIMES FLEXIBLE WITH THE DEMANDS OF YOUR COURSE SCHEDULE), AND UP TO FULL-TIME DURING THE SUMMER. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Manage a project related to Supply Chain based upon department need and individual capabilities.
Support purchasing projects related to cost reductions or other continuous improvement efforts.
Analyze trends in cost, quality and delivery
Support strategic and technical purchasing on individual projects.
Create purchasing reports utilizing MS Office tools
Qualifications
JUNIOR, SENIOR OR GRADUATE-STANDING REQUIRED (STANDING AS OF FALL 2018).
SUPPLY CHAIN, BUSINESS, LOGISTICS, OR MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS MAJORS PREFERRED
Strong MS Office Skills especially for advanced excel formulas
Good understanding of Purchasing Principles
Good analytical and communication skills
Good multi-tasking skills
Experience with SAP, Oracle or other ERP systems a plus
