    Job Description

    PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Lead complex projects or sub-projects in several areas: Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics Planning, Manufacturing Relocations, Plant Expansion, Problem Solving and Process Optimization, Industry 4.0. 

    2. Project Leadership specialist with core skills of Project Management, including strong knowledge of CD02500, targeting a continued role in Project Management

    3. Lead LEANiA, BPS, and PGL projects at customer site according to RB standards

    4. Participate in/lead projects and workshops for DFMA and PFMEA, Value Stream Mapping, Flow Oriented Layout, Lean Line Design, 5S, Standardized Work, Quick changeover, Pull/Leveling, Lean-In-Indirect Areas, etc.

    5. Work with customers, plant leadership and development teams to plan and implement tasks.  Customer base includes Robert Bosch North America plants in US, Canada, and Mexico, as well as external customer base. 

    6. Definition and Development of production concepts, improvement concepts, project management tasks, work instructions, etc.

    7. Execution of Process Analysis and evaluation of the implementation options

    8. Face to the customer: Contact partner for internal/external customer in subjects related to the running project

    9. Acquiring projects and maintaining a relationship with customers are also responsibilities of the Senior Project Leader, including customer contact, acquisition and planning of projects, maintaining close communication with customer, monitoring of customer satisfaction.

    10. Perform other duties as required.  Support CIP activities and Policy Deployment objectives.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 4-year technical degree (e.g. mechatronics, mechanical, electrical, industrial  etc.) and 5 years’ experience in Project Leadership, Production leadership, Implementing LEAN/ BPS methods, Leading projects and teams, CIP efforts, I4.0 implementation, etc.

    • OR

    • 8+ years’ work experience in Project Leadership, Production leadership, Implementing LEAN/ BPS methods, Leading projects and teams, CIP efforts, I4.0 implementation, etc.

    • PMP Certification or in process.  Robert Bosch internal Project Management training PMF B1, B2, T1 and L1

    • Experience within Planning Guideline (PGL), LEANiA, BPS methods in manufacturing and or logistics

    • Project Management Knowledge and experience according to Bosch CD02500

    • Experience in OEE improvements and optimization projects focusing on quality, technical and organization losses.

    • Knowledge in the area of MTM, Machining, Lean-manufacturing and Lean-Logistics is preferable;

    • Industry 4.0 knowledge of systems, technologies, sensors, etc. Experienced with data capture and analysis in production / logistics

    • Problem Solving experience or basic knowledge required (5-Why, Shainin, Ishikawa, Etc.)

    • Active listener with strong interpersonal skills; Target oriented with good communication skills and creativity

    • Ability to work well in teams as well as to work/act independently.

    • Analytical and structured working style

    • Motivated to lead others in a project

    • Very good English skills (written and spoken). Knowledge of Spanish and German is beneficial

    • High motivation to learn and develop him/herself professionally (trainings from project management to BPS provided, some with exams to be passed)

    C/TES-NA positions allow Remote Work/Work from Home as desired.  C/TES-NA supports all North American Robert Bosch facilities and therefore travel is required.  Ability to travel is required and is dependent on the location of projects C/TES-NA supports.  

    The majority of travel will be domestic and take place during the workweek with occasional international travel opportunities.  Depending on customer/project location, travel can be 50% or higher.  Balance of Work and Family life is important to our group and we do our best to maintain an equitable travel schedule.
