Intern – Adjoint-Based Optimization using ML-Augmented Physics Models
Job Description
The Bosch Research and Technology Center in Sunnyvale, CA is looking for an outstanding MS or PhD student to investigate adjoint methods for simulation-based design. The scope of this internship is to perform adjoint-based shape optimization for Bosch products targeting improvement of aeroacoustics performance. The internship scope also includes using machine learning to augment the aeroacoustics models that are used in the optimization. All work is within the context of the open-source SU2 software package for multiphysics simulation and design. In addition to practical application, the intern will implement new physical models, numerical methods, performance improvements, or adjoint formulations in the software as necessary.
