    Job Description

    As a Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the coordination of the Planning & Fulfillment / Production Scheduling activities for the Owatonna Manufacturing and Distribution sites. This position will be responsible for balancing the inventory level with the customer service level (CSL), CBL (Customer Backlog) and VBL (Vendor Backlog), along with continuous improvement activities aligned with BPS (Bosch Production System / Lean Manufacturing) principles to support the plant to achieve its goals and objectives.

    • Analyze existing logistics processes and formulate alternative possible solutions;
    • Support the implementation of the AA-AS exception-based planning model;
    • Assist and maintain strategy of consumption-based scheduling to mitigate exception lead times;
    • Assist in set-up and maintenance of replenishment systems;
    • Enhance forecasting modeling processes;
    • Ensure accuracy of metrics and underlying drivers of performance;
    • Implementation of standardized and automated LOP processes tools;
    • Ability to design, implement and present key business indicators to all levels of the organization;
    • Active role in digitalization and automation strategy inside production planning logistics area;
    • Support innovation initiatives inside LOG and assist BPS process implementation;
    • Assist in internal compliance requirements and execution;
    • Assist the team on a day-to-day activities to support inventory initiatives and customer orders on time deliver & orders backlog reduction;
    • Manage, coordinate and coach the AA/LOP2-Owt team;
    • Make and implement continuous improvement recommendations;
    • Other activities as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    ** Basic Requirements:**

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering or related field or experience;
    • Desired Master's Degree;
    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in an operations environment;
    • A proven self-motivated, conscientious, team player with business acumen. Ability to identify and develop solutions to business issues as they arise - with an internal or external customer;
    • Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing experience.

    ** Technical Skills:**

    • ERP (SAP) - Advanced (Desired)
    • Microsoft Office (Excel, PPT, Power BI) – Advanced
    • SQL - Basic
    • Automation tools (ej. Catalytic) – Basic
    • Working Knowledge of in logistics and/or manufacturing – Advanced
    • Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills
    • German language will be a plus
    • Demonstrated project management skills
    • Green Belt certification desirable
