    Job Description

    Seeking a motivated National Technical Sales & Service Manager for the Bosch eBike Systems Americas group.

    You will develop and manage the Technical Sales and Support Team for the US and increase sales of Bosch equipped eBikes as well as keep Bosch eBike Systems global leading position through best-in-class service for the independent bicycle dealer (IBD) network in the US. In this position, you will be responsible for: 

    • Overall technical support and services for Independent Bicycle Dealers (IBDs) in the US
    • Disciplinary and functional leadership of all Technical Representatives (currently 9 associates) and Training Media Project Specialist (currently 1 associate) in the US including target deployment and tracking, evaluating associate performance and counseling associates on improvement, setting goals for associate development, ensuring continuous improvement and competence build-up, identifying and creating developmental opportunities, and serving as a coach/mentor to others
    • Lead Training concept, planning and organization
    • Lead Training Media projects (Training content/program/document creation, WBT/LMS implementation, digital training media)
    • Overseeing IBD training execution including 3rd party cooperation and coordination, e. g. mechanic schools, training quality assurance, plus providing onsite support for technical representatives
    • Market feedback collection, monitoring and structural market trends and sales reporting 
    • Business planning as well as budget and resource tracking, ensuring business goals and customer needs are being met 
    • Identifying and employing professional tools for planning sales territories, improving customer service efficiency 
    • Working with the Global HQ and Regional Business Unit departments to align on strategy for NA service and serving as primary point of contact for international technical sales relationships

    Travel Expectation: Travel required approximately 30-50% of the time within the North America and will travel to Germany HQ once or twice per year

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications: 

    • 8+ years’ experience in the areas of Engineering, customer services or technical sales
    • 5+ years of leadership experience, with 2+ years of leading remote teams
    • Master’s degree

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in a technical field, such as: Technical engineering studies (e.g. MBE) or equivalent technically oriented education
    • Strong independent performer, capable of operating autonomously and having extended leadership capabilities of a highly motivated and dynamic team 
    • Strategy development, project management, problem solving, and change management skills, with a strategic mindset
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information and negotiate with all levels, from bike mechanics up to the CEO
    • Experience building, managing, and optimizing a network of independent bicycle dealers
    • Deep understanding of the mechanics of the bicycle distribution channel.
    • Technical comprehension with great bicycles fondness
    • Experience and success in recruiting and retaining a high performance team and a demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse service/technical sales team.
    • Enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team with a high degree of personal responsibility and can confidently deal with complexity
    • High comfort level working in a fast paced start-up environment.
    • Excellent English skills both in written and oral
