    Job Description

    We are looking for a highly motivated Business Strategy Analyst to join Robert Bosch Tool Corporation to support our business strategy & market intelligence team! As Business Strategy Analyst, you will play a significant role in providing actionable insights to our internal clients, business units and sales force, to drive change in the marketplace.

    • Manage all aspects of annual market sizing and share activities
      • Partnering with business units to gather market feedback
      • Perform company market intelligence survey and analyze results
      • Compile and analyze retailer and competitor developments (i.e. earnings reports, acquisitions, new product introductions)
      • Building a report comprised of actionable recommendations and supporting data results to inform key business decisions; Presenting results to internal clients
      • Create board level overview presentations on market development
    • Participate in select strategy project including, but not limited, to:
      • Sales/Marketing projects
      • Operations improvement
      • M&A activity
    • Prepare and assist in strategy workshops & war gaming sessions    
    • Evaluate and size new market opportunities
    • Edit and coordinate the publishing of the monthly market newsletter and economic trends. Life-cycle manage publication to bring new subscribers and improve content.
    • Identify industry trends, competitor activities and new research methodologies
    • Provide NA market feedback to world-wide organization for consolidation and regional insights.
    • Work collaboratively with other Market Intelligence staff members to support the group’s mission

    Comfort analyzing large data sets and explaining the results in a succinct manner to diverse audiences

    Able to lead groups through discussions while capturing and updating figures in real-time

    Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills and able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

    Communication/Presentation skills, including defending viewpoint with facts

    Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal clients. You are a trusted advisor to a variety of cross-functional teams.

    Key Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Business, Engineering or related field is required, along with 2-3 years of experience within a role using quantitative methods to access business opportunities
    • Internal or external consulting experience preferred, ideally strategic planning and/or marketing strategy
    • Strong proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling, ideally being able to speak to the data and its potential impact to the business
    • This is an excellent opportunity to network across the organization! Ideally you have experience with preparing board level presentations (in PowerPoint), and are comfortable speaking to teams of all levels
    • Knowledge of the Home Improvement and Hardware Industry
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, on-line research tools, and business intelligence software (such as Tableau)
    • Experience in a fast-paced durable goods, technology, or CPG-type environment preferred
    • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
